A Disney Travel Journal

As some of you may have seen from the February Update, I am really pushing to get a version of a Pack This Journal for Kids in my hands by April. A lot of things have been holding this up including slow manufacturing and a lot of different iterations of the journal. I know I want blank AND lined pages. I know I want activities for kids. I know I want coloring pages. And so much more. It’s overwhelming to say the least.

But recently, two of my favorite little people went to Disneyland for the first time, and brought along the blank version of the Pack This Journal to get all their Disney character signatures along the way. At the end of this post, I explain the “Why” behind the character signatures, if you havent had the chance to go to a Disney park yet. But if you have, you know how expensive those little autograph books can be.

I love this idea of using the blank Pack This Journal for autographs!

While any old notebook or journal will work for these autographed, if you want to encourage kids to keep track of their travels, it makes sense to give them something a little more inspiring from the very beginning. This is where the Pack This Journal comes in!

See a plethora of pictures below of how the Pack This Journal was used for a family during a recent trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Disney Signatures - the why behind it

It is known among avid Disney park goers (or just Southern California residence like myself) that character signatures are some of the best collectable souvenirs that you can get while in the parks. There is just something special about getting the autographs of you favorite childhood characters. Each character has a unique signature to match his or her personality. For example, Pluto will have a paw mark incorporated into his signature and Jiminy Cricket will have an umbrella as part of his. This dates back all the way to Walt Disney, who had his own unique signature that you recognize as the Disney font today. The characters have become celebrities in their own right, and kids of all ages love to see how many autographs they can get in each visit.

BONUS!!

These make excellent coloring books if you just need something for them to do while waiting in line.
